[Private] Yin yoga lessons with Kate have been amazing, both for my mental health and physical health. I used to suffer quite badly with lower back pain. I have tried many alternative therapies and treatments in the past: physio, acupuncture, osteopathy...but Yin has been the most transformative! I now have very occasional back pain (mostly if I have not practised Yin.) The lessons are tailored to my specific needs and I have learnt so much from Kate. The lessons are best ‘in person’ as Kate offers great advice and a practical hands-on approach. However it has also been great to continue lessons virtually. Kate manages to make me feel that she is actually in my living room which has been a great help during lockdown!
Kate is an excellent yoga teacher with a gentle and humanistic approach to teaching yoga, I have been a student of hers for some time both in a group capacity and 1-1 and have really enjoyed her sessions. She tailors the yoga to your being taking in to account your strengths and weaknesses and is encouraging and supportive throughout. She also has a good knowledge and sense of the more subtle and spiritual aspects of yoga too and brings her own personal experience of this into her teaching with great humility
I would recommend a private yoga session with Kate if you want a bespoke practice to support you. I had a session to understand what I could do to help support my lower back, two discs that have often caused lack of flexibility and pain. Kate took time to understand what I needed and designed a practice to suit me. She has an excellent understanding of anatomy which enabled me to understand the benefits of each pose and a flexibility to adapt a posture when my body couldn't quite make it. I am left with a practice that I know will strengthen my back over time and may even improve my pelvic tilt. This session was held online and I was amazed at how well it worked, Kate's keen eye didn't miss a thing! Thank you Kate.
Kate is a devoted teacher who carefully guides you through the correct execution of each yoga pose. She uses her extensive knowledge and experience to break sequences down into their constituent parts and helps you to develop the strength required for more challenging postures. Kate’s dedication is especially evident during individual sessions, where she tailors a range of exercises to help you work on any areas that you find particularly difficult. Above all, Kate is warm and encouraging, with a focus on balancing physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
